A day after the crime committed by his sons, the alarm's rang woke Nicholas up with a sore body all over. Before the disaster, each morning he had to turn off the old clock in a hurry, but now he didn't have to. The world was invaded, his children became monsters, and the day when it didn't matter if he died or not, arrived.

"Ugh..."

Nicholas covered his ears with a blanket, trying to ignore the alarm. But then, he suddenly remembered what happened yesterday. That was not a terrible nightmare, that was reality.

Nicholas screamed.

"Stop it!"

The restless middle-aged man nervously picked up the alarm clock and threw it at the wall. The combination of the thud and the continuation roar of the alarm was fantastic. Nicholas was beyond enraged. He kicked the blanket off and stood up.

"Argh!"

He hit a pillow, screamed, and showed aggressive behavior. Of course, this didn't relieve his anger or make the situation any better. He just needed a way to ease the pain.

They were nothing less than his children.

They were the children I trusted and loved more than anything else in the world.

How did they...

The wounds and betrayal left by his two sons left a permanent scar that haunted Nicholas.

How could you do this?

He was trying to understand. In fact, he wanted to think that it wasn't them doing that.

But the boys were becoming the same species as those creatures. When Nicholas remembered what his boys had done, he couldn't bear it and threw a pillow.

The moment his anger rose to the top of his head, Logan's face, which repeatedly said he was sorry, came to his mind.

Was that a mistake? No, even if it wasn't a mistake...

It was even harder since he knew that his boys did not intentionally covet his body. It would have been easier if he could have hated them. But Nicholas certainly read the terrifying reactions to the sudden change in the voices and eyes of the two boys. It was obvious that the two were equally afraid of this situation. He had no reason to verbally rebel against them.

"Ugh... Hmm..."

He didn't have much energy left. With a crumpled blanket and a tossed pillow, Nicholas sat naked on the bed and took a deep breath. Fortunately or unfortunately, there wasn't any place that hurt much, except for the throbbing muscle pain and a burning sensation in his buttocks that made him frown each time he moved his body.

After coming home in the rain yesterday, it was fortunate that there were no signs of colds and other illnesses, even after being abused by his two sons.

"UGH...!"

Nicholas instinctively regarded monsters as dirty, but as soon as he remembered that not long ago he just had s*x with such creatures, he choked.

He wanted to believe that the boys weren't full monsters yet. The two even leave him alone in the room without continuing their atrocities. This was proof that they still had a human side.

Nicholas laid back down, swallowing his groans of pain. His head throbbed and his eyes burned. He had no idea what to do. His body ached. He was afraid to leave the room. As a father, he should ask if his boys were all right. But doing that meant he had to forgive what they had done.

Just the thought of Dustin pressing hard against his body made Nicholas' hands tremble from suffocation. His son had the same eyes as the monster he had seen on the news.

Time passed quickly, even locked in the room while doing nothing. Nicholas just lay down and looked up at the dark ceiling. The pattern on the ceiling seemed to glow faintly. He even had the illusion that the sound of rain echoing in a silent space was hitting his body.

"Ugh..."

Nicholas swept his face with both hands. He cried and screamed so much that his eyes and throat hurt.

For three days, Nicholas and his two sons were separated only by a door. The two took turns bringing him food and apologizing for this and that. But Nicholas never responded and was just lying there with a blanket.

After being r*ped by Logan and Dustin, Nicholas lived without eating anything for three days straight, drinking only the water from the bathroom tap. He would rather die like this. Logan prepared new food every day, but he couldn't swallow it thinking that he had made the meal with those same hands that were forcing his manhood on him. It made him sick.

But don't they say that humans are cunning animals? When hunger reached its limit, the smell of food that he had not considered before seemed very sweet. Finally, Nicholas crawled out of bed and ate the food placed on the floor.

Although his body had changed to those of a monster, Logan's cooking skills remained the same. It was delicious. Eating the food his son had made, nostalgia for the now extinct daily life poked his nose.

The thought of wanting to die was still wandering in his mind. At the same time, the urge to sit in front of the table with his family late at night and eat the food Logan prepared came like a wave.

"Ugh...Ugh..."

Overpowered by emotion, Nicholas sobbed whilst chewing on his food. It was sloppy food with traces of Logan's attempts to make the non-fresh ingredients became decent. Nicholas swallowed it without chewing properly.

Energy slowly returned to Nicholas. He somehow managed to escape the swamp of depression, and finally felt like coming back to life, at least a little. First of all, he wanted to wash his hands and his dirty body. He was the last to wash himself after that act. Because these past three days, all he did was cry in bed.

Very carefully, Nicholas turned the doorknob to avoid any sound and pulled it slowly. If he went into the bathroom to bathe, it was obvious that they would hear the sound of running water, but still, Nicholas acted cautiously. He did his best to be quiet and not bump into them.

"Ugh..."

Cold water flowed from the shower. The house was always in the dark, without electricity. That was the first sign of disaster. It was fortunate that the water hadn't been cut off yet, but it was quite inconvenient. Showering in cold water in a dark bathroom was the worst.

Done washing, Nicholas stood naked outside the bathroom door. The house was cold, there was no way his clothes had been washed.

"......"

Faint snores echoed in another dark, silent room. The boys seemed to be asleep. Logan and Dustin were getting nocturnal and usually fell asleep at dawn and woke up in the late afternoon.

Nicholas tried to silently enter his room again, without taking a breath. He had deliberately chosen a time when no signal or noise could be heard outside to wash himself. He had to live with his life, but he was not yet ready to talk to his two sons.

"You woke up."

A hissing voice was suddenly heard in the dark. Nicholas froze, turned in the direction of the sound.

"You..."

With the changing voice, Nicholas didn't know which of his two boys was that. He could tell by the way he spoke if he had spoken a few more words, but the son knew his father was frightened and said nothing more. Instead, the son slowly approached his father and carefully extended his hand.

Nicholas flinched, he stumbled into the wall as he took a step backward. For humans, the darkness was indeed a horror. However, cordollians perceived things differently. Dustin could perfectly understand the shape of Nicholas moving in the dark. Instead of being as sensitive to light and color as before, he had a specialized eye for capturing moving objects.

Nicholas' pale face in the darkness was clearly visible as in stop motion. His father's thinly saturated face was pale, and his unshaven, overgrown beard made him look even more haggard.

"Ah, don't come. I-I...I still need time, son."

Nicholas' voice trembled violently. Dustin's hand stopped mid-air, looking at his father from a distance.

He had no intention of intimidating Nicholas. It was because his father looked pitiful, shivering in the cold water and having a hard time finding a towel.

Dustin raised his hand more slowly than when he reached it out. With cordollian's long fingernails, he carefully pulled the towel so as not to puncture it.

"Here, you'll catch a cold. Get a good night's sleep, we'll take care of everything," said Dustin quickly in a whisper. The voice of a monster, terribly unheard, echoed through the house. Dustin deliberately tried to talk like a human being and spoke affectionately to his father, because he thought that talking quickly would lessen the hissing noise.

The half-human creature felt that the father-son relationship had already been completely destroyed. As much as he hated it, it was no use begging him to say he was sorry. The act of asking forgiveness from his father was as useless as watering a cracked ground with a toy sprayer in a drought.

That said, it certainly wouldn't work if he asked. Dustin handed Nicholas the towel and stepped back to increase their distance. He could see Nicholas' face slowly softening as his father looked up into the air with a watchful eye on the wall. Only a series of changes occurred in his eyes, rather than specific shapes and colors, but the fact that his father had let his guard down a little was important.

"Get some rest."

"Thank you..."

Nicholas replied, wiping his face with the dry towel. As soon as he closed the door and entered his bedroom again, his heart, which seemed to have stopped, pounded back.

It was the first conversation he had with his son since that certain time. Now, he didn't know how would he treat his sons from now on.
