"Let's see if you can protect both your nest and your breeding female. Good luck, you half sh*ts!"

Dustin clenched his bloody fists. All except Logan were beginning to look like enemies.

For a moment he wondered if he should kill one of them while everyone was busy stuffing their mouths. But he quickly dismissed the thought, for it was unwise.

"Let's go."

Dustin tugged at his brother's wrist, a little menacingly. Logan looked up. He was a bit confused, but decided to just follow his brother's lead. They left the empty lot.

"Dad's in danger," Dustin said once they were out of the vacant lot and onto the deserted street.

"What do you mean?"

Logan had no intention of arguing with his brother. He was just curious why Dustin would say something like that with hasty steps, almost at a run.

"That Cordollian said that the world would soon turn into hell."

"Isn't this already hell?"

"Yes, it is, but much worse."

Dustin bluntly answered his brother's question. And before they knew it, they were running, their footsteps pounding in the rain. The blood on their cheeks, mouths, and hands mingled with the rain, leaving a dark trail on the road.

"There aren't many breeding females, everyone will come home looking for dad."

Dustin said, making a grunting sound like he was gagging.

Poor Dad, left alone in a dark room with no light.

His stomach churned at the thought that someone might have already smelled him and broken into the house.

The scene of him mating with his father went through Dustin's mind. Not only would he resent the idea of another male violating him, but he swore he would tear apart anyone who dared touch his father.

"He said that to you?"

"No, not only to me. You just couldn't catch him..."

They finally reached their house. Dustin stopped running and slid to a halt, followed by Logan. Their ragged breathing echoed in the silence. The dilapidated house in front of them was eerie. No human sounds, just the rain and the wind.

Neither of them entered immediately. Because of the raw meat they had eaten earlier and mixed with other Cordollians with a similar pheromone, they were now aroused.

Especially Dustin. If he walked into the house now, he was sure he would rush his father.

So he faced his brother Logan. It was time to tell him the truth, the truth they'd hesitated to tell each other while they still had a shred of sanity left in them.

"I'm going to do that again to Dad."

"You..."

"If you don't want to, then stay out of it. I won't attack you or stab you in the back, and if you want, you can have all the food we stole."

"......"

Logan was at a loss for words. His brother's words about not attacking or stabbing him in the back echoed in his head. As much as Dustin felt aggression towards him to protect his female, Logan was also plagued by the urge to kill him. Many times he felt contempt and disgust for himself as he fantasized about knocking Dustin down and digging into his heart.

"What would you do if I wanted to? Will you attack me?"

Logan finally said, not even trying to hide his true intentions. His voice sounded bitter in the hissing wind.

"You've known since the day Dad walked in the door that we want to kill each other."

Dustin said sarcastically. Unlike the miserable looking Logan, Dustin wasn't afraid to show his desire. Logan didn't retort, so he continued in a tone that sounded quite arrogant, if not downright condescending.

"Yeah... I didn't attack you because I can't. I'm just holding back because I need you to be by my side first, and the same goes for you."

"Honestly, I'm not sure what to do, that's why I haven't said anything until now. And I...I've been wanting to violate Dad again, but I'm torn. I want to beat you too, but I don't want to. I know you're going to say that's bullsh*t, but it's true."

"You know, hearing you admit it now makes me want to attack you here."

Dustin glared at Logan, his eyes flashing like a predator. On the other hand, Logan, though still cowering, didn't avert his eyes. He responded with an equally fierce stare. Both showed true Cordollian masculinity.

"But you know why I didn't say anything before? Because even though I'm a coward compared to you, I'm smart enough to realize that this is what's best for Dad right now."

Logan said with a somber voice. The disaster had not only destroyed their routine, but also his relationship with his little brother.

"I know. Dad can't survive in this world in his human form, and whether we like it or not, the only way to save him is to make him lay our eggs. And now we have to decide whose eggs he's going to lay."

Logan was facing the problem head-on, not avoiding it. Sure, he was afraid of how his brother would turn out, but it wasn't something he could avoid forever. Better to deal with it sooner than later.

Even though they struggled to keep their hands away from each other's throats, the brothers were sincere in their concern for their father's well-being. Dustin lowered his eyes and spoke.

"That's a relief. You've always been more reasonable than me, and here I was worried you'd become stupid because you turned into a monster."

His tone was harsh, but Dustin's demeanor softened. It was the answer he'd hoped for. At least he was relieved to know that his brother wasn't going to be stubborn.

"I know we both want to have him all to ourselves, but strategically I don't think that's a good idea. Obviously, two are better than one when it comes to protecting him."

"What the hell do you mean? Are you saying you're going to have dad all to yourself while I just watch you?"

Logan asked confused, unable to understand why anyone would want to share their father when they had just talked about it like they were going to kill each other.

"I told you from the beginning, if you're not going to kill me, you're out. But if you ain't going to stop me, I'll let you in."

Somehow that didn't sound right, so Dustin added with a sigh.

"Of course I'm pissed. Super fvcking pissed at the thought of another guy sticking his dick in Dad's pussy. It makes my blood run cold, and if we both continue to mutate and become even more monstrous, it could be a real disaster at home, but..."

Dustin took a deep breath between the words.

Did Logan ever know? How jealous Dustin had been because his older brother had always lived up to his father's expectations? Praised every time he cooked their meals? How jealous and ambitious he was to steal his father's love?

It was hard for Dustin to hide his jealousy. But he also knew that he shouldn't be so stubborn as to want to do whatever he wanted now that he was stronger.

"We both want to take care of him. We'll just have to live with it."

Logan stared at the now mutated monster face of his younger brother. Above the handsome face, dehumanized and alien after the transformation, was the expression he'd known since childhood.

Sometimes a face could say more than words. Logan nodded slowly, reading the complex emotions on his brother's face without Dustin having to say it. It would be hard for their father, but it had to be done.

Cordilion nature urged them both to destroy any competition and claim their mate, while human nature screamed that they could not lose his love for his father, so the brothers reconciled their arguments. Out of love for their father, they chose the unorthodox path of not destroying their rival and claiming their female together.
