"Nghhhh...hic..."

Jeremy begins to shiver like a man with a cold. His stomach is churning. He wants to throw up all the beer in his stomach. He chokes back a wave of nausea and instead calls out to the monster in a sobbing voice.

"I... I don't know why I'm like this..."

"......"

The jackal studies Jeremy's face closely. The human's state is weird. He's seen him angry enough to accept him going on a rampage. But never before has he seen such genuine disgust, such burning emotion. It's a reaction the Jackal doesn't understand.

"I thought you liked it. Aren't you happy?"

The almighty Asterios has swallowed his pride and assumed the form of a savage human, but the human is neither grateful nor pleased. Instead, he spits out negative emotions with all his might.

How dare he.

Asterios can't help but feel embarrassed and insulted. It hurts to be rejected by a lowly human. He feels sick to his stomach that Jeremy can accept the Max that only exists in fantasy, but not the real him. Before he knows it, Asterios' grip on Jeremy's wrist begins to tighten.

"Ugh, ugh...! I'm not happy about this at all. Do you even care about my reaction? Then let go of my hands and tell me!"

Jeremy's eyes slowly begin to glow with hate. Dusk is now falling on the beach. The air is getting cooler and cooler, and it will not be long before the heat sets in.

It is disgusting enough that the monster talks to Max's face, but it is even worse that Jeremy might share his body with him in this state. The thought of his body begging to be fucked makes the middle-aged man realize that he might as well be dead.

"...haah."

The jackal finally lets go of the human's wrist that is struggling in his grasp. His body flails and collapses on the sand, looking like it's about to be washed away by the waves. The monster just stares at the scene with a stony expression.

Why is that? Was the process not perfectly executed? They had a casual conversation about what Jeremy Rogers wanted most, and then Asterios figured out what his dear lover looked like and how he behaved. He can't understand why it ends like this instead.

Should Asterios be angry at the human for not recognizing his hard work and just educate him?

Part of Asterios wants to grab the insatiable human and shake him, but he can't bring himself to do it. Jeremy looks up at him in genuine pain.

"......"

After a moment of sitting in the sand staring at the monster with Max's face, Jeremy turns his head away. It's frightening and also terribly disillusioning.

"...go."

It's the first word that finally breaks the silence. Jeremy's heart is beating uncomfortably fast, and he doesn't want to talk to the monster anymore, or even be in the same room with it. He has no idea what the monster will do when he sees inside his head, but Jeremy has no intention of hiding his misery from him, no matter what his future punishment will be.

It will be what it will be. Whether the Jackal will be grumpy again or get fed up and kill him. There is nothing the middle-aged man can do. Because again, he is just a weak human being.

He will let the monster torture and torment his body and mind. If he wants to be rolled around like a puppet, deprived of all freedom, then so be it. But he could also say something.

Instead of raising his voice and getting angry, Jeremy stares at the monster as if he had given up everything, but still with a burning look in his eyes.

"Go fvck yourself."

"......"

"Don't you hear me saying fvck off?"

And with that, the tears he's been holding back finally trickle down his cheeks and soak his beard. But Jeremy doesn't blink, just stares at the monstrous creature, panting and gasping for air. He sobs so hard that his body shakes.

"...Ha, Jeremy."

Reminding himself to remain calm, Asterios carefully bends at the waist. He speaks in a soothing voice, trying to compromise, and though he is wearing Max's face, he is a different person altogether.

"I know you'll come back for me, don't regret it."

"I don't need you and I don't want to see you. Just...go!"

Jeremy is coldly angry. Unlike when he first came to the island, he doesn't storm off, he doesn't scream, he just replies in a cold voice.

In response to this unfamiliarity, it is Asterios who finally raises his hands. Returning to his true form, the monster speaks to the human.

"I apologize for having offended you."

"......"

The human remains silent, leaving Asterios unsure of what to do next. Well, the human will probably be in heat soon and will eventually cling to him. But for some reason, Asterios doesn't want to win this little battle that way.

The foolish human must realize his value.

Asterios is just as angry. In his role as city councilor, he would assuage the human's horniness every night, even researching literature and studying his habits every day for his own convenience. The almighty monster feels belittled by the human. He never acknowledges any of his efforts and always lashes out in anger first.

He finds it admirable that Jeremy does not respond in kind. Asterios paces and says.

"Call me when you've collected your thoughts."

"......"

Jeremy still doesn't answer. Asterios thinks he is being very presumptuous, but then decides to leave rather than argue. His dark matter form fades into the darkness and he is gone as quickly as he came.

"......"

Now all that's left on the beach is a middle-aged man who feels like he's sinking into a bottomless pit, and wriggling his hands and feet in the sand doesn't help. As night falls on his stomach, his body begins to heat up. He is sick to his stomach with a rumbling heat.

Biting his lip tightly, Jeremy clenches his fist and slams it down on the sand. Puck, not even a sound. The sound of his fist hitting the soft sand is completely drowned out by the soothing sound of the waves.

"Nnngh...unnghh...hic...hic..."

A small sob rings out in the darkness, and as the image of Max's face flashes through his mind, Jeremy can't help but shudder like an electrocuted man and grip the sand tightly.

"Fvck..."

Just thinking about it again makes Jeremy's teeth chatter. Knowing how much he loved and missed Max, Asterios had presumptuously imitated his lover's look and even pecked him on the lips.

Thinking he's been taken for a fool, the middle-aged man chuckles and rubs his lips together with his sandy hands. His stomach churns, disgust welling up inside him.

"Heukngh!"

He gags, but nothing comes out of his stomach, just an alternating sensation of nausea and a squeezing in his lower abdomen from the damn hormones.

If that son of a bitcch is trying to get Jeremy to stop thinking about Max, he's succeeded. Now the mere thought of Maximus Riddell's face sends shivers down his spine.

But the more he consciously tries not to think about him, the more the painful memories come back. He has visions of Max's monstrous voice, unintelligible, repeating the same words over and over like a broken machine.

"Ugh... ungghhh... uhh… hic...!"

Jeremy crouches in the sand, his legs wrapped around it, shivering. He can't tell if it is because he can't hold back the arousal that is coursing through his body, or if it is because he can't hold back the gut-wrenching sensation.

Jeremy crouches in the sand, his legs wrapped around him, shivering. He can't tell if it's because he can't hold back the excitement coursing through his body, or if it's because he can't hold back the gut-wrenching sensation.
